Hi 4MM,
This term we will be writing our learning goals onto our class blog. Please consider these carefully as we will be revisiting them later on this semester. I think that at least three learning goals that you have chosen to work towards, should be written into our class blog. These could be from the main areas of learning such as Maths, English or the Inquiry topic ‘The earths environment sustains all life”. This is topic is about Sustainability and the Environment.

My learning goals for this semester are:
My first learning goal for this semester is to learn to spell longer words by practicing every night and writing the words 4 times each in my book.
My second learning goal for this term is to get better at making inferences by reading the text more till I understand it.
My last learning goal for this semester is to work on long division with larger numbers by learning my tables more.

these are my learning goals for this semester.
1) In Math I want to work more on division. I think division is important because if i had a cake and needed to share with 5 friends i wouldn’t know how to divide so i need to know how to divide.
2) In English I want to get better in spelling so i can move up to group 2. to do that i will practice spelling daily. Also i want to get better at persuasive texts. i want to get better at persuasive texts so if i want something i can persuade my parents.

Hi Mrs. Masik,
I’ve been thinking on what I want to improve on this year and I have come up with these 3 learning goals.
1) English: In English I think I should improve on my spelling. I will improve on my spelling by practising and learning my spelling words every week and also reading more books. Reading books will not only help me with my spelling but it will also help me with my vocabulary and story writing.
2) Mathematics: in Maths i think I should improve on doing number lines. I will do this by doing questions and drawing number lines regularly.
3) Personal: For my personal goal I would like to be able to write exceptionally fast and also keep my writing neat and consistent. I will do this by working hard on my handwriting especially when Mrs. Masik isn’t there (while doing my homework at home).

Dear Mrs Masik,
1)My learning goals for English is my spelling. I want to get 20 out of 20 every time so that I can get into the extension group.I also want to improve my Grammar because if I was a publisher and I do not know Grammar it is better of to be not a publisher.
2) For my maths I want to be automatic in my times tables. By achieving the goal I will have to do more times tables. My other goal is to get in to maths Olympiad, also my problem solving.By improving I will have to do more work on problem solving and not to be careless.

These are my learning goals for term 3.
Firstly, I would like to improve on learning all my times tables and to also get better at division for example if you had 3 friends that were trying to share 21 lollies and none of them knew their times tables or division they would not know how much each person gets.
Secondly, To expand my vocabulary by looking up harder words in the dictionary.

Dear fellow bloggers.
For my home learning grid I will be doing:
Write lyrics for a song about sustainability. It could be a poem sung to a familiar tune or a rap.
It’s both town and country air
that we ultimately share.
So polluting one expect
to get a butterfly effect.
If the key to all our health
is to share in nature’s wealth
then we’d best invest a plan
to save our wildlife while we can.
